THE PACKAGE :

The ideal addition to any Parisian stay - a two day tour in the
heart of the Loire Valley sampling the great richness this region
has to offer : stately residences, the calm and beauty of the
Loire River, vineyards and peaceful villages. The gentle climate
of this part of France has greatly contributed to the
development of the local agricultural activity. Art and history
combine with a certain sweetness of life in this part of the
country known as the "garden of France".
ITINERARY :

Day 1: Departure from a central location of Paris close to the Louvre
Museum. We begin by crossing the southern districts of Paris as far
as the Porte d'Orléans. From this point we take the Aquitaine
motorway as far as Blois. A guided visit of the Blois Castle offers an
excellent introduction to the history of the region. We continue as far
as Amboise where free time will be allocated for lunch. Our afternoon
continues with a guided visit of the Clos-Lucé, Leonardo da Vinci 's
last dwelling and the gardens of Villandry. Then visit ato the old
historic districts of Tours. Evening meal and accommodation at the
Mercure Tours Nord (or similar).

Day 2: Departure for Chenonceau around 8.30am for a guided visit of
the castle. We continue our morning with a guided visit of the
Château de Cheverny followed by lunch at the Hotel Saint-Hubert
(regional restaurant of rustic style). Our stay in the Loire Valley ends
with a guided visit of the royal Château de Chambord. We leave
around 4.30pm and return to Paris around 7.00pm.
